Sunny Days
Oh this glorious spring!
Lets work backwards... sorry no pictures as its hard to do working alone!
Friday Rosie had the day off as I went to do trail work. Looking forward to taking Rosie on those rides!
Thursday Evening Rosie and I played through the sunset. First it was the best "catch" yet! She considered walking away and then turned and walked 4 steps to me! I did not immediatly put the halter on, but rubbed and loved on her first. I still working on her helping me halter her better, but one step at a time.
We marched down the the arena together and as I started I realized I wanted to clean some poo piles, so I took off her halter and ... she went with me to scoop!!! So then we played at liberty for some time and she only left twice!
We then worked on relaxing her head and neck and stretching and stepping under and moving away from my hand , some trot poles, and finishing with finding me at the mounting block and loving on her there.
I took off her halter in the arena and gave her the go ahead to leave, however, she chose to stay with me all the way up the road to the paddock! This change is really important and we are on our way!
Wednesday Laurie came out to do body work on Buddha and offered to do a session with Rosie. So I caught her, really easy, and then had to leave for a dump run. In general it was just about getting her to release her shoulders and along her spine. She does like her bodywork!
Tuesday was catching game and took her for a ponying walk up the road. These are important to get her in better shape for carrying us humans! She is learning to get some march in the walk to keep up with Felix!
